Football Academy

Whitletts Victoria FC are a long-established football club. Formed in 1944, the Club initially played junior football but in 2020 they became founding members of the West of Scotland Football League. On the park, the most successful period in the Clubs’ history came in the 1950’s when they played in front of 20,100 supporters at Shawfield Stadium in the semi-final of the Scottish Junior Cup.

The Committee of Whitletts Victoria Football Club have strong community values and our development of the Club is based around our desire to not only be a focal point for and to serve the local community but to provide opportunities for the people living within the community that may not otherwise be available to them.

Facilities

Our pavilion redevelopment will house some of the facilities required to enable the Club to apply for its’ NCL but also include a community hub area that will be for use by the local community.The pavilion is being re-designed with a café/bar area to offer people refreshments, socialise as well as host community events and activities. The facility will also comprise of a of a kitchen, office and bookable meeting room which will be available not only to VIC and the Club, providing additional revenue to support the stadium development, but available also to the local community organisations, businesses, and individuals.
